- IACAP runs mailing lists for the benefit of its members and people or institutions interested in its activities.
- Each mailing list has at least one list owner.
- IACAP does not allow spam, junk mail, chain letters or other unsolicited bulk email, commercial or otherwise, on any list.
- The posting of unsolicited commercial or advertising material is not allowed.
- Messages sent to IACAP lists should be courteous, appropriate and not disrupt the flow of discussion on a list.
- Copyright of messages sent to a IACAP mailing list is retained by the poster.
- Messages sent to a IACAP mailing list may be archived.
- Due to the nature of the internet, unfortunately the security of messages to IACAP mailing lists cannot be guaranteed.
- Members of IACAP mailing lists will not attempt to mislead others as to their identities, either by providing false information when subscribing, or when posting, or by forging the headers and addresses in an email message.
- IACAP conference attendants and paying members of IACAP are by default subscribed to IACAP’s mailing list. They can unsubscribe immediately and will not be resubscribed without their renewed consent.
- Membership of IACAP mailing lists is voluntary and neither the list owner nor any other person may subscribe or add a person to a list if that person is not a member of the association.
- IACAP reserves the right to remove what is considered to be offensive message from its archives immediately.
- IACAP reserves the right to unsubscribe any members without further notice in case of what is considered offensive behaviour.
